Togo is a strip of land measuring roughly 56,600 km2, bordered to the north by Burkina Faso, to the south by the Atlantic Ocean, to the east by the Republic of Benin and to the west by Ghana. Togo is a small country, but the diversity and richness of its landscape, its 45 ethnic groups and the variety of its cultures have earned it the reputation of Africa in miniature.
